Who We Are

MANAS (Moral Association for Nature and Society) is a registered non-governmental organization established in 1999 with the vision of empowering underprivileged communities across Bihar.

Over the years, MANAS has worked closely with government departments, healthcare institutions, volunteers and local communities to improve education, sanitation, healthcare, women empowerment and child welfare.

More Than Two Decades of Community Service

Since its establishment in 1999, MANAS has been committed to serving society through education, healthcare, sanitation, women empowerment, child welfare and community development programmes across Bihar.

1999

Foundation of MANAS

Moral Association for Nature and Society (MANAS) was established with the objective of working for the welfare of disadvantaged communities through social development programmes.

Registration

Legal Recognition

MANAS obtained registration under the Society Registration Act, 1860 and later completed NGO DARPAN registration, strengthening its institutional foundation.

Healthcare

Public Health Initiatives

Expanded healthcare activities including Pulse Polio Programme, Vitamin-A Programme, sanitation awareness and health-related community campaigns in collaboration with government agencies.

Women

Women Empowerment

Facilitated the formation of more than 200 Self Help Groups and implemented programmes focused on family welfare and women's empowerment.

Child Welfare

Supporting Children

Continued efforts in child welfare through Bal Grih, Child Labour Schools, moral education and martial arts training programmes.
